Scope of Work

Tábla Design provides custom-designed staircases, furniture, and commercial fit-outs for residential and commercial clients in Ireland. All products are handcrafted and made to order based on the specifications outlined in the client agreement.

Quotations & Payment

• All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise agreed.

• A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure your project in our production schedule.

• The remaining balance is due upon completion and prior to delivery or installation.

• Late payments may be subject to interest charges in accordance with the Prompt Payment legislation in Ireland.

Timelines

• Lead times vary by project complexity and production schedule but typically range from 6 to 12 months.

• Tábla Design is not responsible for delays caused by site access issues, third-party contractors, or changes requested after production has begun.

Delivery & Installation

• Our team will coordinate delivery and installation where applicable.

• Clients are responsible for ensuring clear and safe access to the site at the scheduled time.

• We are not liable for any damage to the stairs or fit outs that occurring after installation is complete and accepted by clients.  This include damages that might occur during move-in to new builds or renovations.

• Pet-related wear and tear, including claw or bite damage, is not covered under any warranty.

Material Variations & Natural Movement

• All timber used by Tábla Design is a natural, living material and will exhibit variation in grain, colour, and texture.

• Over time, wood expands and contracts due to humidity and temperature changes. This is a natural characteristic and not considered a defect.

• Minor surface checking, movement, or hairline cracks are normal and do not affect structural integrity.

 

Care & Maintenance Guidelines

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your wooden staircase or furniture:

• Clean with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth only.

• Avoid chemical cleaners, abrasives, or silicone-based products.

• Do not expose products to standing water or excessive moisture.

• Use protective pads under heavy objects and avoid dragging items across wood surfaces.

• Maintain a stable indoor environment to reduce extreme fluctuations in temperature and humidity.

Aftercare Services

• Tábla Design offers optional aftercare and maintenance services, including cleaning, refinishing, and recoating (recommended every 4–5 years).

• These services are not included in the original sale and are available upon request for an additional fee.

• Contact us to inquire about service packages or scheduling a maintenance consultation.

 

Warranty

Tábla Design provides a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of installation. This does not cover:

• Improper use, neglect, or lack of maintenance

• Pet damage, scrapes or exposure to unsuitable conditions (e.g. damp or high humidity)

• Normal ageing of timber, including colour changes or small movement in the material​

Cancellations & Returns

Due to the bespoke nature of our products, once production has commenced, cancellations or returns are not permitted. Deposits are non-refundable.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
